WHALASA SOCIAL EVENTS Social events are one of the great pilars of WHALASA. The club organizes several traditional events across the year to share the cultural richness of our region and to celebrate the Latin Spirit. Here are some of the most notable events:Asado Argentino The Asado Argentino is the most famous WHALASA event in the Wharton Calendar! It takes place in the Fairmount Park, where friends and family can enjoy good wine, traditional Argentinean Barbecue and a great soccer game. In the Spring of 2010, the Asado was a complete success! The event Sold-out with 370 participants. Brazilian Carnival WHALASA’s Brazilian Carnival is a social event that brings to Philly the best traditions of the Brazilian Carnival: Samba dancers, Brazilian Music, Brazilian Drinks and many more! Cena de los Tucanes La Cena de Tucanes is our official goodbye to the second year WHALASA members and a time to announce "The Tucanes Awards" for those first- and second-year WHALASA members who won the right for public recognition.The list of celebration, memorable events and fun activities goes on and on!!!
