Student Profile

Why are you getting an MBA?

I was an undergrad exchange student at Wharton. Then and there, I got a glimpse of what an MBA at Wharton would look like: an amazing cultural experience coupled with an outstanding preparation in Finance. Ever since then I have been dreaming about coming back and getting my MBA!

What have you gotten out of Wharton?

These have been two years filled with opportunities, experiences and lessons. In the classroom I’ve been able to strengthen the skills I need for my future professional career and outside the classroom I’ve had the chance to become involved, make mistakes in the safest environment, and learn from them.

What about learning experiences outside the classroom?

There have been many, but the one I cherish most was my experience with the Leadership Ventures. During my first winter break I participated in the Cotopaxi Venture, where you climb a 5,897 meter volcano. After that I became Venture Fellow for Kilimanjaro. The leadership lessons have been countless!

What advice would you give to someone trying to decide whether to come to Wharton?

Visit us. Coming here, meeting students, becoming part of our lives for a couple of days, will give you an idea of what Wharton is all about. If you’re far away and unable to travel, reach out to alumni in your area so they can tell you about their experience
