The Wharton Latin America Student Association, WHALASA, would like to invite you to become a Sponsor of our 2007 - 2008 events. We are confident that this partnership will give your company the opportunity to reinforce your presence in the student’s community and especially in our more than 250 members from over 50 countries.

Our Sponsorship Program gives you the flexibility to decide whether you would like to participate per event executed or to be an official sponsor for all the events we carry out. The list of events for this year includes:

1. Members-only events (invitations go for our 250+ members)

a. Organization of Latin American Speaker Series to discuss topics related to business opportunities on the region

b. Sponsorship and booking tickets for Latin American singers and concerts

c. Organization of Squash tournament

d. Participation in Soccer tournament with all the University of Pennsylvania clubs and associations

e. Ice Skating night in Penn’s landing.

f. Sponsorship of drinks and booking for dinners with diverse groups of people

g. Tasting of typical Feijoada Brasilera

h. Organization of “Cena de Los Tucanes”, farewell dinner and party for second year students.

i. Coordination of recruiting events with club members and companies.

j. Execution of mentorship programs from second year to first year students.

2. Wharton School-wide events (invitations go for our 1,600+ students):

a. Asado Argentino, outdoor event with family barbeque, soccer game, and other social activities that happens twice a year, with over 300 students for the last spring event.

b. Celebration of the Carnaval with a record attendance of 400 people last march

c. Organization of quarterly theme parties: Balada Brazil, Locura Latina, etc.

d. Opening day for famous school wide pub, with the Latin Pub

e. Organization of Welcome Weekend events for new admitted students, which includes a reception for future Whalasa members and a full class closing party

f. Organization of social gatherings and parties after exams, with attendance of over 100 people in pasts events

Based on the previous sample of events for this year, the Sponsorship program distinguishes the following levels:

· Silver Sponsor: This package entitles your Company to sponsor single events for prices between $1,000 up to $2,500 for members-only events, and up to $5,000 for school wide events.

· Gold Sponsor: This package entitles your Company to sponsor all year-around members-only events for $5,000 or all Whalasa events for $7,500.

· Platinum Sponsor: This package entitles your Company to sponsor all Whalasa events, both members-only and school wide, weekly newsletter and all the professional events besides the Speaker Series for $10,000.

All previous plans include: (1) distribution of your company’s information and marketing material in all the events you sponsor; (2) inclusion of your company’s logo in the materials produced; and (3) a possible inclusion of a speaker to discuss issues related to Latin America business environment in our Speaker Series.
